Welcome guest Blogger Yana Sherman. We will feature a post by Yana Sherman at the beginning of each week about what was heard at StorySpace and what is coming up. StorySpace is a long running ( perhaps the longest running) open mic dedicated to live storytelling. They are there every week, whether the creek rises or not.

Each evening kicks off with Open Mic at 7 p.m. Tellers have eight minutes to try new material or polish an old favorite. First-time tellers are guaranteed a spot and listeners are always welcome. Libby will begin her feature at 8:15
The venue is a gallery that is a short walk from Central Square T. It is cozy and conducive to creative spirit. Very nurturing and a great place to try new material. And check out the four new kittens that are inhabitants of the Gallery. We have a suggested donation of $5 to ensure that the tradition of stories of Tuesday night continues into it's third decade.

Yana Sherman is a retired kindergarten teacher, story slam winner, semi-finalist and one heck of a storyteller. She is also a budding writer, having finished one novel and now working on her second. Yana is part of the committee that is keeping the Story Space going on Tuesday nights in Cambridge.
