This week at Story space was especially lively. During the Open Mic, we
had tales of fogged-in sailboats, student politics and feuding cousins,
just to mention a few. Michael Parent, all the way from Maine, shared stories of a Senior Olympics ping-pong tournament, a story in the French
Canadian culture about three brothers on a quest for a golden bird and,
also French Canadian, hockey glories of his youth.Coming up next week, the feature will be Kevin Brooks. Kevin was one of the people who kept the venue going after Brother Blue could no longer do it. His personal tales are both unique and universal at the same time. He plans to bring us a new story that he will debut. The evening will get started with an Open Mic at 7. Tellers will have 8 minutes to share new material or an old favorite. First-time tellers are guaranteed a spot and listeners are always welcome. Kevin's feature will begin at 8:15.
