Fancy cars and stories told from the perspective of cats?  Count us in!

Just a reminder that we still have a few events you don’t want to miss before summer’s end!  Our final “off-season” slam and two very exciting collaborations with the Larz Anderson Auto Museum (our first to date -- thanks MotorMouth!) will be taking place this month!

August 7, 2012 -- 6pm @ Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline:
MotorMouth and massmouth present Driving Force: A Storytelling Workshop using Transportation Themes.  Everyone has a story to tell—this workshop will help you discover the Driving Force behind great storytelling technique using, transportation and vehicles as the theme. Participants will learn the components of effective narrative, how to use non-verbal storytelling tools, and leave with their very own crafted story.

August 12, 2012 -- 6:30pm “Fictional Personas” @ Doyle’s Café in Jamaica Plain:

Your true or fictional stories told in the 1st person.  Channel Shakespeare, your cat or Snow White and tell your story from their perspective.  Yes!  You read that right!  For this slam, we drop the true story rule!

August 16, 2012 – 7pm @ Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline:
Another collaboration with MotorMouth and massmouth present MotorMouth: A Vehicle of Human Experience.

Have you ever been on a road trip that has changed your life, or had a conversation of a lifetime in the front seat of your car? For many, their car is an extension of personal identity, a symbol of freedom and adventure, and a place to build lasting relationships. Using the car as the vehicle of human experience, tell us your tale. We welcome any and all compelling stories with a car connection!
