In the past 12 months we:
• Held over 12 Story Slams in one calendar year at Kennedy's Midtown, Jamaica Plain, Somerville and Cambridge venues, over two seasons
• Collaborated with libraries, cable TV access stations, StoryStream, Central Square Theater, art museums and schools
• Shared the stage with playwrights, improv folk, singer/songwriters, hip harpists, electricians, burlesque artists, bloggers, politicians, writers, stand up comics and radio hosts as co-hosts
• Our final slam at Rabb Hall, Boston Public Library, was a standing room only event
• Built a "Bridge to Haiti at Cambridge Riverfest where we collaborated with visual artists and raised awareness of Haitian culture
• Sent over $1300 to Partners in Health for earthquake relief in Haiti from proceeds from our "gate"
• Created an ongoing series of affordable adult storytelling workshops to share storytelling skills
• Raised the $500 yearly fee to maintain our .ning site that now hosts over 500 videos of live storytelling and connects 350 members
• Opened new venues to storytelling in Cambridge, Somerville and Jamaica Plain
• Initiated a regional high school storytelling project - (details soon) and
