"so embarrassing" slam last night -

As you might have guessed, last night was one of the funniest slam yets. The stories were amazing and the room was so packed we actually had to turn folks away. Wow- right? I mean, this is a huge step in massmouth's  goal " ...to renew the timeless art of storytelling in Massachusetts by building a new audience and engaging a new generation of tellers..." At least half the crowd were there for the first time.

ToRena Webb and Andrea Lovett were excellent co- hosts and kept the show moving with short stories of some embarrassing moments that were "wet yourself" funny  ( look to our video collection for a peek at the merriment). We had un-judged feature stories from seasoned storytellers Leeny Del Seamonds and Doug Lipman. The ten competing tellers were... Laura Lovett ( who mobilized her fan base and filled up a good part of the room with friends), Mike Sweeney, Rona Leventhal, Michael Anderson, Reed Snyder, Bob Reiser, Sara Epstein, Marty Levin, Robert Isenberg and Pam McGrath.
The winners were slam veteran,Michael Anderson with his tale of an embarrassment of Mythic proportions and Pam McGrath with her story of her visit to some interesting bars in the New Orleans. Thanks to all the judges and all who came out and told, cheered and supported.
