the theme - what to do with ALL these stories...

The theme "dishing your dining disasters" covering any personal experience or social interactions over a meal has people thinking. Storytellers are calling, writing in and talking with each other about memorable dinners and food experiences from T-Day feasts from hell to breakfasts they cannot forget.

"Despite the fact that I can't be with you on Nov. 23, I read with great interest the topic for the evening. At first I couldn't come up with a story and was relieved that I was unable to join you. {Without a story, I would have had to develop a fake case of laryngitis!} However, chatting with my family this evening, I realized that I used to spend many evenings at my girlfriend Kathy's house when I was a teenager. They didn't have a lot of money and had to "make do"...as the saying goes. Being from northern New York state - a very rural area - "making do" takes on a very different connotation. I ate rabbit, squirrel, moose, bear and wild duck for dinner on many occasions. I developed quite an interesting set of culinary skills including "bear pizza"....It has the beginnings of a story" ... We may have an overflow and are thinking to add a new feature to our slam, where we can do something fun with the overflow of stories.
